One of my biggest problems was that my eyes were bigger than my belly, so I bought this product to help me manage my portion sizes.So far, I have to say it's working. The diet plate is really simple. You know exactly how much protein, carbohydrates, dairy and fruit and veg are allowed, and it works with all combinations of food. I've been really impressed. I'm not a huge fan of the design of the plate, and would have preferred something a bit more simple that I could use when eating with other people but so they wouldn't know what it was. It does seem a lot of money at first my hubby was horrified but then I pointed out that it cost the same as 6 weeks at weightwatchers if it works it is money well spent. (Note I bought the Plate and Bowl so cost about �35)The plate itself is of a good size and quality plus for a change made in England (its always great to support uk manufacturing industries) it is dishwasher and Microwave safe. As long as you carefully follow the instructions for the plate you can portion control any meal. The plate copes well with all types of meals from Tradition Meat Potato and 2 veg. Plus all my normal favourites Spaggy Bol, Chicken Tikka, Shepherds Pie, Chilli and Rice. The only things I miss are my Yorkshire Puddings on a sunday and my Naan Bread with my curry both class as carbs and if I eat those I can't have any rice or potatoes... Read more 35 of 35 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: The Diet Plate Female Diet Plate (Personal Care) The plate is very useful for controlling the amount of carbohydrate that is eaten, as if it is used correctly the quantity of carbohydrate (rice, potatoes etc) is smaller than I was eating. There is a large amount of vegetables and salad in proportion to carbohydrate and protein. Once you are used to using the portion control you would not require the plate for each meal. Very useful I would say for someone who was used to eating large portions |
